Announcing DISM - the Dismount Intelligence Situation Mapboard.
Finally, a situation awareness solution that can leave the
vehicle with the soldier. The world of C4ISR systems calls
for a solution that provides a simple,
map-based interface and communicates over existing tactical
radio networks. A solution so rugged, so reliable, it's been
called "revolutionary". And it's
available now.
Based on standard NGA mapping products and MIL-STD 2525B
symbology, DISM allows soldiers to quickly and easily examine
their location AND tactical situation. With standard
Joint Variable Message Format (JVMF) messaging, DISM can immediately show reports of enemy locations
& activity, as well as the location of friendly forces in the
same area. Trident's innovative "Range Rings" technology allows
the soldier to see beyond the edge of the map, giving time to
plan and react in even the most rugged environment. |

DISM communicates using the radios in the field today - so
warfighters don't have to carry (and learn) new radio systems. DISM is completely interoperable with SINCGARS, MBITR, PSC-5,
PRC-117, analog radios and
Iridium phones. The strength of DISM's interoperability lies in
a comprehensive set of rugged digital interface drivers, developed by
Trident Systems. On the back end, DISM supports FBCB2, C2PC,
MCS-L, and others; with the power of JVMF messaging, DISM can
talk to higher echelons within the military’s stratified systems.

Product Features
Interoperable With Existing Gear
DISM provides a
common software interface, regardless of the hardware
platform it is running on. This simplifies training and
familiarization, because a user who has operated DISM on a
handheld computer will also be proficient with DISM on a
laptop computer, or even a tablet PC. DISM allows users to
concentrate on their job, not the technology.
Cross-Platform Compatible
The strength of the DISM solution lies in a comprehensive
set of digital interface drivers, developed by Trident
Systems. DISM is completely interoperable with SINCGARS,
MBITR, PSC-5, PRC-117, analog radios and Iridium phones.
On the back end, DISM supports FBCB2, C2PC, and the Joint
