Rugged C4ISR - Radio Network Interface Controller (RNIC)

Another one of our rugged C4ISR systems, RNIC is designed to provide the interface between a handheld computing device and various standard military radios with secure messaging and communications capabilities. This small, handheld device provides the capability for military personnel to communicate and pass situational awareness, messaging, and text data via a PDA or handheld computer over existing military radio networks. RNIC includes an embedded GPS and has the capability to inject SAASM GPS information if desired. Forward Error Correction (FEC) and Mil-STD 188-220 protocols are currently supported.

The latest secure communications technology to be integrated in RNIC is the ability to communicate with and control Trident's family of unattended ground sensor nodes. This capability allows the RNIC to exchange data and capture images over a low emission, battery-powered, wireless ad-hoc network that includes various sensors as well as high performance relay and gateway nodes. This capability minimizes the time required by a warfighter to setup and control a tactical wireless sensor network.

With C4ISR-compliant RNIC, your tactical radio and your computer can work together like never before.
