C4ISR - Wearable Display

The WD Wearable Display is just one great example of Trident's innovation. It presents a sunlight-readable full-color QVGA resolution AMLCD (Active Matrix) display.  With night-vision compatibility via an operator controlled ultra-high dynamic range LED backlight, it can go wherever you go.

Designed for Harsh Military Environments
Measuring just 4.5" x 2.6" x 1.0", the Wearable Display can easily be wrist-mounted without affecting freedom of motion. It has an easy to read 2.8" diagonal display that turns off at the touch of a button.  The single, small flexible cable connecting the unit to a host computer features a rugged, one hand quick-release connector.  The Wearable Display is compliant with military ruggedness specifications, so you can use it no matter what your mission throws at you.

Does not require batteries
Powered by the host computer, the Wearable Display requires NO batteries.

Host Processor Interface
The Wearable Display receives video data and transmits control information via a USB 2.0 connection with the host computer.

Simple Operator Interface
The Wearable Display has a four direction joystick with integral "press and select" capability and two additional buttons. The unit has a built-in momentary vibration feature to silently alert operators when new information is available. Buttons and vibration features are fully programmable.

Applications Driver
The Wearable Display comes complete with an Application Programmer’s Interface (API), allowing existing applications to drive the Wearable Display in Windows XP, CE or Linux 2.6. A graphical user interface (GUI) (available for Windows XP) is provided to simplify button programming and screen capture when a stand-alone application is necessary.
