WiNC is
handheld, militarized, battery operated, ZIGBEETM
compliant
hardware. It lets us tailor a system to meet the needs of your
unattended networks and sensors.
WiNC provides the tactical operator the capability to set-up,
configure, and access unattended wireless networks and remotely
control network sensors. WiNC is a lightweight handheld device
that enables the tactical operator to easily and rapidly emplace
the wireless nodes, improving operational effectiveness, and
mission success.
WiNC harnesses reliable wireless mesh protocols and DISM mapping
technologies to deliver a ruggedized and environmentally
hardened tool that optimizes network topology while delivering
vital sensor information to the tactical operator in forward or
remote operations centers. WiNC design optimizes: LPD in
wireless network interface, point to point text communications,
and persistence of an unattended ground network.

WiNC is designed and
built to meet the demands of U.S. Navy SEALs, is waterproof to 1
meter, and pressure-tested to required lockout depths. WiNC
provides the full power of a handheld computer with the added
capabilities of Trident's digital radio modem, the RNIC-Eagle.
This hybrid of communications technologies enables unattended sensor networks
to be configured securely and effectively in non-permissive
areas. The WiNC family of devices will be able to support other
IEEE networks and mesh protocols in the near future. |
