The MFREU is a complete Multi-Function RF processor that combines a wideband SDR with powerful CPU processing resources, a 500 GB SSR, telemetry/control functions and integrated power conditioning from a single wide-range input voltage. Built on Trident’s SQDRT, the MFREU is a customizable solution to meet a wide range of mission applications in a single, small size, weight, and power footprint. A fully integrated C&DH Flight Software application with telemetry and control capabilities makes the MFREU well suited for a number of payload applications. The SQDRT is a space-qualified Virtex5-based reprogrammable transceiver designed to support orbital and interplanetary applications. The SQDRT is available in 3U SpaceVPX or stand-alone configurations, supporting a wide range of RF modes in a very small size, weight, and power footprint. A Single Event Effects aware Virtex-5 FPGA design (Zynq UltraScale+ versions also available), coupled with Gigasample ADCs and DACs provide a high-reliability platform for operation in harsh orbital and interplanetary environments. Based on programmable FPGA-based radar system heritage, applications include synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging, communications and signal collection/analysis.
